WITH FOND MEMORIES

We mourn the passing away on March 20, 2026 of Brod Rogelio "Roger" Ong of Batch 1977A, a devoted husband, doting father and grandfather beloved by his family and friends; respected and commended by his clients and colleagues at the prestigious accountancy firm from which he retired; and, a true Aquilan who exemplified and fostered the precepts of the Aquila Legis Fraternity with selflessness and dedication.

We pray that God blesses you with eternal peace, Brod Roger, and be with you always.

                                                       -Brother Aquilans

"Aquila Legis, as we go through the years, we'll share with you . . . our joys and our tears."

-Aquila Legis Fraternity Anthem

The Aquila Legis Fraternity extends condolences to the Ong family and offers prayers for the eternal repose of Brod Roger's soul in heaven with our Lord Jesus Christ.

I

MESSAGES

When Brod Roger joined the fraternity in 1977, he was already an accomplished banking executive holding the position of First Vice-President/Comptroller at the PISO Bank. But one would not know that from the way he carried himself in stride as one of us in Stalag 24-WW, beginning with the rigors of our "picnic" and on through junior brod assignments in various fraternity projects including "auxilliary" to Aquilan Bar Candidates among whom were celebrated Bar Topnotchers #1 Dave Gesmundo 73A #8 Butch Cleofe 73A and #10 Nick Gomez 73A. When Brod Roger migrated to California to marry Lilia, the love of his life, he continued his career with the reputable accountancy firm of Fishman and Block until retirement. To the delight and solace of the L.A. Aquilans, Boss Tito Bulante 59 assigned him as "treasurer/comptroller"; a role that he selflessly took on for the fraternity for years. Above all, Brod Roger was well-respected and held in high esteem by the brods, his colleagues and all who had the opportunity to get to know him. In gratitude for being a true friend, a batchmate, and a brod, and for fostering the Aquilan traditions of brotherhood, I join our brother Aquilans in honoring Brod Roger, and in his passing, we pray for the eternal repose of his soul in heaven with our Lord Jesus Christ and extend our condolences to his family and loved ones.
